Hon'ble Judrel Lyonpo inaugurated the 160 ft long bailey bridge with 24MT capacity at Sukruti under Samtse Gewog today.

The bridge was constructed with approved budget of Nu. 14.9 million through RGoB funding, with 31 km from Samtse Dzongkhag, the bridge will connect Phuntshopelri Gewog Center. Moreover, other immediate beneficiaries are Dewathang-Lamiathang, Satshamchhu-Tshongdzom chiwogs under Samtse and Tashilakha_Uelgyalling chiwog under Phuntshopelri Gewog.

The construction of the bailey bridge took eight and half months, the activity was un-planned and the budget for the aforementioned activity was sourced out by Hon'ble Minister upon discussion with Royal Government of Bhutan. after securing the budget, the work was executed departmentally by Department of Roads, Ministry of Works & Human Settlements.
