Samtse Dzongkhag Education Conference was convened on 14-15th Feb. 2019 in the Dzongkhag Conference Hall with the theme 'Redefining Education: Towards Quality and Inclusive Education'.
32 Principals, 14 VPs, and 3 DEOs took part in Dzongkhag Education Conference.

The Annual Education Conference resolutions were disseminated. Teacher deployment and Teacher Requirement Exercise were deliberated to curd teacher shortage in the Schools. ECCD and NFE monitoring tools were discussed further supplemented by awareness presentation from Sr. Program Officer from NFE Division. Need and analysis of professional development programs were discussed and plans were drawn after the orientation program by the Samtse Teacher Resource Centre Lead Teacher. Many issues and challenges were discussed for converting the schools into a conducive learning environment.

The conference was followed by a farewell party for superannuating Deputy Chief DEO Mr Yeshi Nidup, and two outgoing principals -Mr Pema Chogyal, Dorokha CS transferred to Buli CS and Mr Dorji Lethro, Depheling PS transferred to Rashingang PS.
