On 14th July 2018, Hon'ble MoWHS Lyonpo Aum Dorji Choden inaugurated the most waited Amochhu bridge, the bridge over Amochhu River will connect Samtse and Phuentshogling.

The 175-metre long bridge, which took nine years to complete, is the longest permanent bridge in the country. It is also the country’s first semi-through steel arch bridge and links the 58-kilometre Phuentsholing-Samtse highway.

H.E MoIC Minister and H.E MoHCA Minister also accompanied MoWHS Minister during the event . All the regional and sector heads of Samtse and Chukha Dzongkhag are present there for the event.
