The inauguration of biometric information  collection  for National Digital Identity Project (NDI) under the Digital Drukyul Flagship Program for Samtse Dzongkhag had formally commenced on 12 July, 2022 at the  Samtse Gewog Meeting Hall graced by  Dasho Dzongdag as the Chief Guest and also in attendance are Nimaling (Saurini) Lam, Dasho Drangpon, Dasho Gupda, Dasho SSP, Dasho Drungpas and other heads from the Regional, Corporate, Institution, Sectors,Private business Community  Representative.

The Biometric information collection shall be carried out by two team of dessups and one census verifier official. Team A Dessups shall provide biometric enrollment services starting from Samtse Gewog, While team B shall provide biometric enrollment from Norgaygang Gewog. The team shall move to next  Gewog upon completion of above Gewogs as per the program set by the coordinator.

Therefore, all  Bhutanese Citizen born on or before 31.12. 2013 years and currently residing in Samtse Dzongkhag can avail Biometric enrollment service. Further, while availing the service you must produce your CID or SRP card for individuals above 15 years.While for underage below 15 years they must have their CID  number only and all must come in proper national attire.
