Celebrating 50 Years of Bhutan-India Formal Diplomatic Friendship with 'Health Advocacy Program

To celebrate 50 Years of Bhutan-India Formal Diplomatic Friendship a 'Health Advocacy Program' was organized by the Dzongkhag in collaboration with the Dzongkhag Hospital, BIFA Local Chapter & health officials from India on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The program focused to promote "People-To-People" contact through health programs at the grass root level. 
The event was graced by Mr. Ashish Middha, Hon'ble Consul General from India at Phuentsholing and hundreds of local people from Chamurchi including businessmen, officials from Gram Panchayat office and Tea Garden Managers. Senior officials from Samtse and Dzongkhag Sector Heads also attended the program. 
Samtse LSS students and youths from India performed various entertaining dance programs. The program was funded by the RGoB and also by the Business Communities from Chamurchi.
