The three-day annual Samtse Tsechu ended.

The highlight of the last day of Samtse Tshechu is the unfurling of the Zhabdrung Phunsum Tshogpai Thongdrel and the Guru Tshengye mask dance. The Thongdrel is unfurled at 7 am.
As is the case every year, thousands thronged to offer prayers and receive blessings from the Thongdrel, the mere viewing of which is said to cleanse the viewer of sin.
