The 45th Birth Anniversary Celebration of His Majesty the King in Samtse began with prayers at Samtse Rabdey and Shivalaya Mandir, offering blessings for the nation and its people.
The event was graced by Lam Neten of Samtse Rabdey, Dasho Dzongdag, Dasho Drangpoen, Dasho Dzongrab, along with regional and sector heads, business communities, staff, and students from Samtse HSS, Samtse LSS, Khandothang PS, Bukhay PS, Norbugang PS, and Norbugang CS.
To enrich the spiritual and cultural essence of the occasion, the monks of Samtse Rabdey performed sacred mask dances.
A free lottery was also conducted, and winners were awarded exciting prizes, bringing joy to the spectators.
Meanwhile, regional offices also organized their own celebrations at their respective offices, marking the special occasion with prayers and festivities.
Furthermore, the ongoing Drupchen at Droduel Chorten also observed the special day with prayers and offerings, further adding to the spiritual significance of the celebration.
As a tribute to His Majesty, prayer flags were hoisted in the gewogs of Samtse, Ugyentse, and Tading, symbolizing prayers for His Majesty’s long life and well-being.
The celebration was a true reflection of unity, devotion, and gratitude to His Majesty the King.
