The Dzongkhag Administration is pleased to announce the successful completion and official takeover of the
Bore-Well Water Supply Project for Samtse Throm. The project was handed over to the Dzongkhag by the contractor,
M/s Druk Water Solution, on 26th June 2025.
With a total project cost of Nu. 4.50 million, the bore-well system is expected to serve as a
supplementary source of water, enhancing the reliability of water supply to Samtse Throm, especially during periods
of high demand or when the primary Dhamdum gravity source faces shortages.
The scope of the project includes:
- A 100 cu.m capacity prefabricated water tank
- Installation of a 30 HP booster pump
- A 7.50 HP submersible pump
- Construction of a panel house
- Chain-link fencing securing the facility within 8 decimal land area
This infrastructure is a vital step towards strengthening the overall water supply system for Samtse Throm,
ensuring that residents have access to a more consistent and reliable supply of clean water.
The Dzongkhag Administration extends its appreciation to M/s Druk Water Solution for timely execution
and to all stakeholders involved in making the project a success.
