A meeting with the UNICEF Team led by the Deputy Representative was held on 25th June 2025 at the DT Hall, Samtse Dzongkhag, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The meeting was attended by Dasho Dzongrab, relevant sector heads, and the Gup of SangNgagchholing Gewog.
The primary objective of the meeting was to present UNICEF’s action plan for the Integrated Programme, focusing on proposed activities, indicative budget, implementation timeline, and the technical support required from the Dzongkhag for effective execution.
Key highlights of the meeting included:
• Presentation of proposed activities aligned with health, education, nutrition, child protection, and WASH with recommendations for each.
• Discussion on the budget allocation for various components of the programme.
• Timeline for implementation, with phased activities scheduled over the fiscal year.
• Technical and logistical support expected from the Dzongkhag Administration and Gewog to facilitate coordination and smooth execution.
The Dzongkhag team expressed appreciation for UNICEF’s continued partnership and reaffirmed its commitment to support the implementation of the integrated programme for the benefit of the local communities.
