The Audit Entry Meeting of the Dzongkhag Administration, Samtse, was convened on 20th August 2025 in the Dzongkhag Tshogdu Hall. The meeting was graced by the Assistant Auditor General and a team of auditors from the Office of the Assistant Auditor General (AAG), Phuentsholing, and was chaired in the presence of Dasho Dzongdag, Dzongrab, Drungpa, Gups, Gewog Administrative Officers (GAOs), Sector Heads, and Engineers of the Dzongkhag.
The entry meeting formally marked the commencement of the annual auditing process, which is aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the utilization of public resources. The audit team briefed the gathering on the scope and objectives of the audit, while also highlighting the key thrust areas of assessment for this cycle.
In his address, Dasho Dzongdag emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in upholding good governance, financial discipline, and compliance with existing laws and regulations. He also highlighted certain challenges faced by the Dzongkhag Administration and called upon all sector heads and officials to extend their full cooperation to the audit team by providing timely and accurate information and documentation.
The session concluded on a note of mutual understanding and cooperation, with a shared commitment between the audit team and the Dzongkhag officials to work together in ensuring accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement in the administration’s operations.
