The Tashicholing Hospital Project in Samtse, launched on
under the
111th National Day Footprint Initiative, has been successfully completed,
marking a historic milestone for the community.

On , the hospital was officially
inaugurated by Honorable Foreign Minister Lyonpo D.N. Dhungyel,
in the presence of officials, community leaders, and residents.

Once fully operational, the hospital will provide vital healthcare services to
over 30,000 people, greatly improving access to quality healthcare
across Tashicholing Dungkhag—covering the gewogs of Tendruk, Pemaling,
Tashicholing, Norgaygang, Namgaycholing, and Sangacholing—as well as neighboring areas.

Expected Impact

  • Strengthening the health system in Samtse Dzongkhag.
  • Reducing referral cases to distant hospitals.
  • Complementing national projects such as the Gyalsung Project and nearby educational institutions.
  • Improving health outcomes for future generations.
