A consultation meeting on the Livestock Rules and Regulations 2025 was organized by the Environment and Climate Change Committee of the National Assembly, The meeting brought together relevant stakeholders, including livestock farmers, feed agents, meat suppliers, officials from the Bhutan Food and Drug Authority (BFDA), Local Government leaders, and representatives from the Dzongkhag Livestock Office.
The consultation served as an important platform to discuss the proposed amendments and incorporations in the Livestock Rules and Regulations 2025. Participants actively shared their views, experiences, and concerns, contributing valuable insights to ensure the rules are practical and beneficial for all stakeholders. The meeting was highly productive, as it enhanced awareness and understanding of the changes, their relevance and the benefits they bring to farmers and the livestock sector at large. The engagement also fostered stronger collaboration among enforcement agencies, policymakers, and field implementers for effective implementation of the revised regulations.
