The Mid-Year Review of the Annual Performance for FY 2025–2026 of Samtse Dzongkhag was successfully conducted under the chairmanship of the new Dasho Dzongdag, with the objective of reviewing progress, addressing implementation challenges, and strengthening performance for the remaining period of the financial year.
The review was conducted in two sessions. The morning session was attended by Dasho Drungpa of Tashicholing and Dorokha Drungkhags and Sector Heads, during which sector-wise progress updates were presented. Discussions focused on achievements against planned targets, budget utilization, implementation challenges, and coordination among sectors to ensure timely delivery of services.
The afternoon session was attended by Gups from all 15 Gewogs, where gewog-wise performance and development activities were reviewed. Gups presented updates on ongoing projects, service delivery at the grassroots level, and challenges faced in implementation. The session also provided a platform for constructive dialogue on strengthening local governance and improving coordination between the Dzongkhag and Gewog administrations.
Dasho Dzongdag emphasized the importance of accountability, effective planning, and result-oriented implementation, and encouraged all sectors and gewogs to take proactive measures to address gaps and ensure optimal utilization of resources. Dasho also highlighted the need for strengthened monitoring and timely reporting to achieve the targets set under the 13th Five-Year Plan.
The Mid-Year Review concluded with a shared commitment from all sectors, Drungkhags, and Gewogs to work collaboratively towards achieving the Dzongkhag’s development priorities and enhancing public service delivery for the people of Samtse Dzongkhag.
