The 46th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty The King, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, was celebrated with great joy and reverence in Samtse Dzongkhag.
The celebration was jointly organized by the Samtse Dzongkhag Administration, Samtse Rabdey, Samtse Dzongkhag Court, Royal Bhutan Police (RBP), Royal Bhutan Army (RBA), Regional Offices, Financial Institutions, Samtse Higher Secondary School, Samtse Primary School, Bukey Primary School, and Khandothang Primary School.
The auspicious occasion was marked with offering of butter lamps and prayers for His Majesty’s long life and well-being, along with vibrant cultural performances and traditional mask dances presented by students and officials. The celebration also featured entertaining guest performances and a free lottery draw, adding joy and excitement to the gathering.
On this significant day, the gathering also proudly honored the National Topper of the 2025 Bhutan Certificate of Secondary Education (BCSE) Class X examinations. Rekrith Pelki Pradhan of Samtse Higher Secondary School secured the First Position nationally with an outstanding 92.2%. In recognition of this remarkable achievement, she was awarded a cash prize and felicitated amidst warm applause and admiration from the community.
The people of Samtse Dzongkhag reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty and gratitude to His Majesty for his visionary leadership and selfless service to the nation.
