In continuation to the first phase of the sensitization program Dzongkhag Health Sector with funding support from AMCHP under the Department of Public Health, Ministry of Health conducted a half-day long Sensitization Program on Accelerating Maternal and Child Health Program was conducted in the remaining seven gewogs and Samtse Dzongkhag/Throm as its second phase of the activity covering gewogs namely Phuentshopelri, Tashichholing, Samtse, Pemaling, Norbugang, Tendruk, Norgaygang and Samtse Dzongkhag/Throm.

The sensitization program was conducted by the officials from health sector targeting participants from LG inclusive of Gup, Maangmi, GAO, Tshogpas, VHWs, School Health Coordinators, ECCD Facilitators, Religious Figure representatives and Influential leaders with sector heads and staff from the Dzongkhag Administration and other relevant officials at the Dzongkhag level from the 3rd – 7th March 2025.

The sensitization program aimed to enhance awareness and engagement of key community stakeholders in improving maternal and child health outcomes under the AMCHP initiative.

The sensitization program was brought to an end on 7th March 2025 covering 15 gewogs and Samtse Dzongkhag/Throm successfully, fostering a collective responsibility towards improving maternal and child health in Samtse Dzongkhag.
