Tashichhoeling/ Sipsu Gewog

Tashichhoeling (Sipsu) Gewog, located in the western part of Samtse Dzongkhag, covers an area of 27.67 km² and serves as the headquarters for Tashichhoeling Dungkhag. It is bordered by Pemaling and Namgaychholing gewogs to the north and the Indian state of West Bengal to the southeast and west. The gewog experiences hot, humid summers, pleasant winters, and receives annual rainfall ranging from 1200mm to 3000mm. The altitude ranges from 400m to 1400m above sea level. The soil types include sandy, alluvial, and clayey loam. The gewog is divided into four chiwogs: Tashichhoeling, Daangling-Gangjoog, Dewachen-Zhiwaling, and Norjangsa-Peljorling.

Area and location.

Tashichhoeling (Sipsu) gewog under Tashichholing Dungkhag is where the Dungkhag Headquarters is located. It located to the west of Samtse Dzongkhag and lies towards the south of Pemaling and Namgaychholing gewogs and the Indian state of West Bengal to the southeast and west. It has around 27.67 km2 in area.

Climate

The gewog experience hot and humid summer, pleasant winter with annual rainfall ranges from 1200mm to 3000 mm. The altitude of the geog ranges from 400 to 1400 meters above the sea level.
