
Lyonpo Younten Phuntsho, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, visited Samtse Dzongkhag and met with Dzongkhag officials. The visit aimed to familiarize himself with the district and express gratitude to the public and civil servants for their dedication.
During the meeting, Lyonpo emphasized the crucial role of civil servants in implementing government policies and acknowledged their hard work. He highlighted the introduction of a Weekly Work Plan and Reporting System to track progress and encouraged senior officials to mentor younger colleagues.
Regarding the 13th Five-Year Plan (FYP), he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to development and recognized Samtse’s significant contribution to the economy. He also expressed optimism about the agricultural labor import pilot program.
Lyonpo concluded by thanking all civil servants for their contributions and encouraged continued collaboration between elected representatives and government officials for a prosperous Bhutan.
