
Samtse, 6 May 2025 — The Hon’ble Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MoIT) paid an official visit to Samtse Dzongkhag on 6th May 2025 and convened a consultative meeting with the Dzongkhag’s engineers, sector heads, and officials.
The meeting centered on the vital need for stronger collaboration between the central government and the Dzongkhag administration to enhance public service delivery and ensure equitable development across the country. The Hon’ble Secretary emphasized that a well-coordinated approach is key to effective governance and developmental success.
He also highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to embracing feedback from officials at all levels, stressing that such input is crucial for meaningful civil service reforms and long-term systemic improvements. The ongoing digital transformation initiatives under MoIT were also shared, alongside the importance of maintaining high-quality standards in all infrastructure projects through strict monitoring and evaluation.
The session saw active participation from Samtse officials, who raised relevant questions and provided valuable feedback, contributing to a productive exchange of ideas and insights.
The visit concluded with a Tashidelek Khadar ceremony, during which officials conveyed their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Hon’ble Secretary on his appointment to lead the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
