A Stakeholder Consultation Meeting on CBSS-DAISAN with MSTF-CBSS members and local leaders of Samtse was successfully conducted on 29th September 2025 at the Samtse Dzongkhag. The meeting commenced with participant registration, followed by a formal welcome note and introduction of participants.
An orientation on the Multi-Sectoral Task Force (MSTF) and its operational guidelines was facilitated by Dr. Meenakshi Rai, which provided an overview of the MSTF framework, roles, responsibilities, and coordination mechanisms for effective service delivery. This was followed by remarks from the MSTF-CBSS Chairperson, who underscored the importance of strengthened multi-sectoral collaboration in addressing gender-based violence and ensuring timely, survivor-centered responses.
Subsequent technical sessions focused on Sex and Gender, Gender Equality and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and Gender Transformative Approaches, aimed at enhancing participants’ conceptual understanding and professional competencies. Post-lunch sessions addressed values, culture, and rights, linking socio-cultural norms with protection frameworks and legal obligations.
The meeting concluded with a session on Gender-Based Violence/Domestic Violence, facilitated by Dr. Meenakshi and About RENEW CSC by Samtse RENEW CSC Case Manager, followed by a service mapping group exercise involving all participants to identify existing services, referral pathways, and coordination gaps. Overall, the consultation meeting contributed to strengthening stakeholder knowledge, coordination, and collective commitment towards effective implementation of the CBSS framework in Samtse Dzongkhag.
