The Hon’ble Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, D.N. Dhungyel, who also serves as the Minister in charge of Samtse and Chhukha Dzongkhags, inaugurated the newly constructed market facilities at Devithang today.
The facilities, developed at a total cost of Nu. 42.79 million, were funded by the Government of India under Phase I of the High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP). The project aims to strengthen local market infrastructure, support farmers and vendors, and improve access to fresh produce for the public.
The Samtse Dzongkhag Administration extends its sincere appreciation to all stakeholders involved in the successful implementation of the project. Special acknowledgement is accorded to Gyekden Builders Pvt. Ltd. for their dedicated efforts as the contractor in completing the works.
The establishment of these facilities is expected to significantly contribute to local economic development and enhance service delivery for the people of the Dzongkhag.
